The Pines Give it Back
What a beautiful way to wind down the summer! We spent our Labor Day weekend in the woods recharging our souls and solidifying beautiful new connections. We are so grateful to spend time with people we’ve loved for years and to expand that circle of love in so many directions.
If you haven’t already heard of them, the newest edition to our big beautiful family is a band from Gainesville, Florida called Captive Eddies. Brothers, Deva and Leif, along with percussionist and multi-instrumentalist phenom, Eddie, are not only incredible musicians, they are some of the nicest people we’ve ever met. Pure of spirit and radiating positivity, these guys immediately made a mark on our hearts. Get familiar because you’ll be seeing a lot more of them if we have any say in the matter.
We also struck up a fast friendship with some fellas with deep roots in Asheville. Keith and Leon live in an artist community up there and Leon heads up the powerful Asheville Buskers Collective. He also plays one hell of a dobro. We haven’t gotten to hear Keith play yet, but word on the street is that he knows his way around a guitar. We’re excited to spend more time with them and deepen the Atlanta/Asheville family ties.
Women to the Front!
Speaking of Asheville, we are headed up to play Salvage Station this Saturday the 16th as part of the week-long Women to the Front event focusing on females in the music industry networking and supporting one another and calling for equality, inclusivity, and balanced representation. Yet another opportunity to make great connections and bring people into the fold. Playing Salvage is a big deal for us and we would love to pack the house out, so if you’ve got friends in the area (or if you’re in the area) help us spread the word!
We’ve been on the road a lot lately, and our 1st show in Nashville was a hit. We were sad that our good friend Sonia Leigh was feeling under the weather and couldn’t make it, but we were happy to be able to bring the boys up and put on a rock show for the people of Nashville. Thank you to everyone who came out and supported us in Music City!
FEATURED FRIENDS
A big part of why we are so excited to be playing Suwannee Roots Revival is because we love the other bands that play there. We’re super excited to hear them, and we want you to get excited about it too! We thought we would help get you in the groove by doing a featured friend section in every newsletter until the festival. We’re giving you links to check out some of the other artists who you might not know and who we think you’ll love as much as we do! This week’s featured friend is the one and only Mr. Blair Crimmins and his band the Hookers! You heard us right. These Atlanta natives are bringing that big band feel to Roots and your body is going to be moving before you even give it permission.
Brand New Aint
Exciting news! We sent our first completed single off to get mastered today! We are hoping to have at least 2 of them ready to release by October 5th when we head to Roots, but if they are available before then, they will be exclusively available to the people on this mailing list! Spread the word! If you know somebody who would be excited for some sneak peek Ain’t releases, share this email with them by clicking the button below!
FAMILY MATTERS
We recently had the pleasure of sharing our stage with our good buddy and Frankly Scarlet keyboardist, Damian Kapcala. Damo will be sitting in with us as often as possible whenever our beloved Ian Klin is out of town being a bad ass with his other band, SUSTO. We are incredibly grateful that he is so willing and eager to share his talents with us! At this time, we also want to collectively send love and healing energy to his sweet lady, Abbi. She’s been having some health issues that are causing major financial stress, so we’re going to be playing a benefit for her on September 23 at Vision Studios alongside the ATL’s favorite dead ringers, Frankly Scarlet. Abbi has been a constant source of encouragement and hype for so many ATL bands. Now it’s our turn to support her. This is how we do it around here. Keep the love flowing.
AINT IT WILD?
We actually heard there were some folks wearing Ain’t Sisters shirts at the last Frankly Scarlet show. In fact, we’ve been receiving pictures from all over the country of people rocking our schwag. From the pit at Billy Strings to Phish tour to people making friends because they were both wearing SHAKE YOUR TAINT shirts on Jam Cruise to a friend gifting Andy Frasco’s bass player one of our old school SYT tees… you just never know where you might see Ain’t shirts in the wild. So, here’s your homework assignment… We want you to send us pictures… If you’re rocking your Ain’t merch out on the town, or if you run into somebody else who is, snap some pics and send us those shots and we will put them on our socials and maybe even on our website! Thank you for being part of this movement and repping us all over the damn place! We love you!
BTW, if you haven’t gotten one of the new Cosmic Logo shirts yet, you can grab one from the store on our website or better yet, come out to one of our shows this weekend and get one in person!

TAINTING THE TOWN
Arrie and Boo are in DC visiting Denny this week. The plan is to plaster the capital with Shake Your Taint stickers, so maybe the next time somebody tries to storm the place the riot will just organically turn into a rave.
Your moment of zen. We present BAT DOG.
From a riot to a rave!!! Omg. I love it. Keep shining friends. The light is gorgeous. ✨✨✨
