Rolling in the Rev!
We’re in the key of G, y’all…
Introducing our ladyman girlyboy road warrior princess… The Reverend Gladys Shake ‘n’ Bake Jackson - the pewter fox. But you’re gonna hear us refer to her by her myriad nicknames… The Rev, Gladys, Shake ‘n’ Bake, Miss Jackson…
Whatever you prefer to call her, you can call us grateful. We are floored by the outpouring of generosity and support that we received during our van fundraising campaigns. We are working hard in between tour runs to get all of the auction prizes delivered (or scheduled in the case of house concerts, lessons, etc.). We appreciate everyone being so patient with us as we navigate fulfillment. That shit is complicated!
Look what y’all did! She’s a beaut!
This update is coming from the belly of the beast, which means it’s being typed up with two thumbs on an iPhone, so we’ll keep it brief and poorly formatted.
We’ve been having major fun slamming these sets out on the road. Jackpine in Wisconsin was AMAZING! We can’t wait to bring this festy energy to Wormtown in Massachusetts, Another World in Pennsylvania, and Roots AND Hula in Florida, but FIRST, we wanted to make sure you knew where to catch us this weekend as we make our final Southeast run of the summer.
TONIGHT! Thursday 9/5 we’ll be at Flat Iron in Greensboro, NC. Show at 8.
Friday 9/6 We’ll be at One World West in Asheville, NC. Show at 9:30.
Saturday 9/7 we return to our favorite Nashville dive, Dee’s lounge and we’ve got our good buddy, Nashville songwriter, Campbell Harrison opening the show for us. He hits at 6pm and we play at 7.
We hope to see you out there! And if you’ve got friends in the area who love new music, please send them our way!
Big love from the back bench of The Rev!
🩵 XO THE AINTS!
And now for your moment of zen…
